Abi joined the Wiegers Financial & Benefits team in early 2023 as an Administrative Assistant in our Financial Services Division. Prior to coming to Canada in 2022, she worked in client relationship management for seven years in her home country Nigeria. After spending her entire life to that point there, Abi decided to move to Canada in large part to explore the many opportunities available to her here in the financial services industry.
Abi has a passion for helping those in need and ensuring that our clients’ needs are consistently being met. Her long-term goal is to be a financial planner, which was a large motivator for her to write her Canadian Investment Funds Course in December 2022, just six short months after arriving in Canada.
Abi holds a BSc (Hons.) in Physiology from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology and a certificate in Business Accounting from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. She is an expert in client relationship management and account management, and enjoys working with – and brainstorming about – numbers and data. She developed these skills over the years working in the banking sector as an Operations Manager.
In her spare time, Abi enjoys cooking and spending time with family and friends.
